Naveen Qayyum is a postgraduate in media studies from Kinnaird College Lahore, and received certificate in human rights and peace studies by SAFHR (South Asian Forum for Human Rights) in Nepal. 'Talking Faith' is her debut documentary film which she produced with support from the World Youth Programme. She conceived this film project as part of her youth internship with the World Council of Churches - Communications department in Geneva, where she worked for inter-religious dialogue issues. 'Talking Faith' features young people's experiences of identity in post 9/11 Pakistan, and was a special mention by the jury of Kara Film Festival in 2009. Naveen has been associated with Simorgh, a feminist activist organisation in Pakistan, and serve as member of independent media groups in Asia and abroad. She also contributes writings on issues of social relevance, people's movements and dialogue as a freelance journalist.
